Dr. Rabiul Basher Rubel

Associate Professor, Brac Business School, Brac University

Dr. Mohammad Rabiul Basher Rubel is currently serving as an Associate Professor in Management and Human Resource Management at BRAC Business School, BRAC University. He has joined BRAC University as an Associate Professor in January 2023. Dr. Basher is serving as a faculty in Management and Human Resource Management near about 20 years. Before joining BRAC Business School, he has served as an Associate Professor in the Department of Management at Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP). Although his greatest delight and enthusiasm is in teaching, he has had the honor to work in several administrative positions throughout the years. These positions include Chairman of Marketing and Management Department and Associate Director of IQAC of MBA program of Bangladesh University of Professionals. Apart from BUP he has also served as a faculty in Daffodil International University (DIU) and Stamford University Bangladesh.

Dr. Basher has completed his BBA and MBA degrees in Management and Human Resource Management from the Department of Management, University of Dhaka (Bangladesh). He has earned his PhD in Human Resource Management from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), an APEX University in Malaysia. During his PhD journey, he also aided as an academic tutor and graduate research assistant (GRA) in School of Management at USM. In PhD. duration he also worked as a PhD. Club member in the School of Management. He is the life time Alumni of Universiti Sains Malaysia. Dr. Basher is also the founder member of Management-FBS Club Ltd of University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. He was the founder Chairman of Human Resource and Leadership Club of BUP. He was the coordinator of co-curricular activities club and manager of sports committee of Stamford University Bangladesh.

Moreover, Dr. Basher has also passion for academic research and co-curriculum activities. His areas of research interest include circular economy, sustainable performance, sustainable HRM, ethical climate, green HRM, green knowledge sharing, green service behavior, green creativity, socially responsible HRM, technology adaptation, psychosocial safety climate (PSC), high commitment HRM (HCHRM), high performance HRM (HPHRM) and high involvement HRM (HIHRM). He has also received the prestigious University Grant Commission (UGC)-Bangladesh gold medal award 2016 on his research and publication. He was also honored by Daffodil International University for his SCOPUS publication in 2017. Dr. Basher is also supervising Doctoral students at BUP.
